Excursion – Macedonian villages from Prespa
Winding your way up a beautiful mountain road, climb up the mountain range Livada (1568m) in the National park of Galicica. The ridge of the Galicica Mountain provides an amazing panorama view of Lake Ohrid. Freely translated, Prespa means ‘the sleeping lake’. This lake is suitable because located less than an hour drive away from Ohrid, this lake seems deserted and lonely, as if it has been sleeping for a million years. Visit the small church St. George on the opposite shore, in the picturesque village Kurbinovo. Before the day ends, visit the last village Brajchino, close to the Greek border. Lunch is reserved in a local restaurant on the shores of Lake Prespa. Return to Ohrid late in the day.
